The Atlantic Conference - The Speakers

A good conference is all about who shows up to present their work. First, they have to have great work. Next, they have to present reasonably well.  And of course, they have to be credible and follow good scientific method.

How the speakers are chosen

Anyone who's been around these conferences for any length of time has sat through a real dud of a presentation. While we want to be nice, that's simply not allowed at the Atlantic Conference.

Most of our speakers will come from Rick's extensive experience in this field. As you can see from the list, we have some return speakers from the last conference. Others weren't available. Keep watching that list on the right and you'll see it get more and more extremely qualified and interesting folks added to it.

Those of you out there who know about these general topic areas may want to make suggestions for speakers as the summer comes and goes. We're establishing a cut-off for the speakers to sign up with us and most of that is based on the upfront technology required to get their presentations working correctly. Here are links to other subject areas that interest us.

  1. Ancient Copper Mining in North America
  2. The Red Paint People - Connections Over the Atlantic
  3. Basque Peoples in North America Before Columbus
  4. Linguistic Similarities Across the Atlantic
  5. John Cabot's Discovery of North America

Meet the Speakers as the Conference Approaches

Watch the homepage of the site as we get closer to October to make sure you don't miss out on opportunities to hear advance interviews, see videos, and actually chat with the speakers. Rick will be interviewing most of them on his Oopa Loopa Cafe radio show.
