The Atlantic Conference is a
not-for-profit company whose sole aim is to further the study of early
trans-Atlantic contact. The organization is run by Steve St. Clair of the US,
Mark Staveley of Canada, Niven Sinclair of the U.K. and William Mann of Canada.
Steve,
Mark, Niven and Bill are not
scientists. We are amateur historians. Mark is a PhD Candidate at the
Memorial University of Newfoundland
(St. John's, NL) where he is studying Computer Science and Computational
Chemistry. Mark's research involves the creation of tools that will uniquely
identify and categorize different chemical structures and reactions based on
extracted computational information. Bill is a planning and development consultant with over 30 years experience. He has managed two of the largest public/private municipal partnerships in Canada. He is 1/8th Algonquin and has earned the trust and admiration of the leaders of many Native North American Tribes. Our Executive Committee - The event is scheduled to take place in Halifax, Nova Scotia in August, 2008. Watch this website as we continue to work out all the details. Contact us with any questions and, if you already know you want to attend, please contact us via email at the "contact" link above right.
